The STARS Alliance presents a new edition of the interdisciplinary course “Nachhaltigkeit: Herausforderungen und Lösungen / Sostenibilità: sfide e soluzioni / Sustainability: Challenges and Solutions”, part of the Studium Generale program at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
Studium Generale is an interdisciplinary study programme open to anyone wishing to to broaden their knowledge across multiple fields.
The course, held in collaboration with the unibz Competence Centre for Sustainability (CCEES), involves the participation of 18 lecturers from all the member institutions of the Alliance. Bringing together contributions from multiple disciplines and research backgrounds, it offers a multifaceted and accessible introduction to sustainability, exploring current challenges and possible solutions across the ecological, economic, and social dimensions, with particular attention to the context of mountain regions.
Part of the autumn series for the academic year 2026/27, the lecture series will take place from 30 September 2026 to 25 November 2026, on Wednesday evenings from 17:00 to 19:00 at the unibz Bozen-Bolzano campus.
Participants enrolled in the programme can attend the courses, take the relevant examinations and obtain ECTS credits. In addition, the series also follows an open lecture format: the lectures are open to anyone interested, with no prior registration required.
