DESCRIPTION:Session Lectures: \n\nProf. Nicola Dalla Via (Unibz): Tra numeri e parole: misurare e comunicare la sostenibilità aziendale\nDr Davide Don (Fraunhofer Italia): Come sfruttare la normativa EU per migliorare il design di prodotto\n\nCourse Overview \nThe interdisciplinary course “Nachhaltigkeit: Herausforderungen und Lösungen / Sostenibilità: sfide e soluzioni / Sustainability: Challenges and Solutions”\, part of the Studium Generale program at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano\, offers a comprehensive and accessible introduction to sustainability. Coordinated by the Competence Centre for Sustainability (CCEES)\, it involves 19 lecturers from all member institutions of the STARS Alliance\, bringing together perspectives from science\, economics\, and social research. \nThe course explores key sustainability challenges and possible approaches across ecological\, economic\, and social dimensions\, with particular attention to mountain regions. \nMain Objectives \n\nOffer a general overview on the topic of sustainability and on the current challenges and approaches to face its economic\, ecological and social aspect\nFocus on the context of mountain regions\, including its society\, economy\, and natural resources\nEnable the audience to analyze the discussed sustainability aspects and to apply them in areas of society such as politics\, tourism\, the economy\, nature management and in companies and the education sector\n\nThe lecture series runs from 15 October 2025 to 14 January 2026\, on Wednesdays from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Bozen-Bolzano campus. \nProgram: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLanguage: German\, Italian\, English (according to participants) \nRegistration: participation is open to all\, with no prior registration required \nEvent website: Nachhaltigkeit: Herausforderungen und Lösungen | Sostenibilità: sfide e soluzioni | Sustainability: Challenges and Solutions – S.T.A.R.S.
